About the Role

Reporting to the Quality & Compliance Manager, the Chief Examiner will deliver Internal Quality Assurance of assessors in accordance with our IQA policy. This will include the confirmation of assessor suitability, induction of new assessors, IQA of assessments and the standardisation of assessors.  

Where appropriate, the Chief Examiner will manage the work of the Assistant Chief Examiner, providing a single point of contact for the Quality & Compliance Manager. 

The Chief Examiner may contribute to the development of assessment materials and end-point assessment processes and/or fulfil specific roles within the end-point assessment process, as described in the relevant assessment plan.

This role may be undertaken complementary to an existing substantive position with the permission of your current employer or within a wider portfolio of activities.   

About you 

  • You will need to hold a minimum of a level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing and domestic heating qualification or or a Gas engineering level 3 qualification which meets the requirements of the current ACS categories CCN1 and CENWAT
  • a minimum of 5 years post qualification industrial experience and evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Hold a recognised IQA qualification and be an experienced IQA, confident in delivering effective feedback to assessors
