The role of the EPA Heavy Vehicle Engineering Manager (EM) is to advise the Independent End Point Assessor (IEPA) on points relating to the Professional Discussion conducted as part of the End Point Assessment activities.
The EM will, if required to confirm current legislation and requirements relating to Inspection, Servicing and Maintenance of Heavy Vehicles. All assessment decisions will be made by the IEPA.
Each Professional Discussion will last approximately 1 hour and will be conducted remotely via Zoom.
The minimum requirements the EM must have, as specified within the Assessment Plan ST0068/AP02 is;
The EM must currently, or have previously (within 5 years) been an engineering manager in a heavy vehicle operating environment. They must not have had any part in the learning and development or line management of the apprentice being assessed.
