Your role will include conducting workplace observations—now a mandatory component for all 3 standards—alongside professional discussions and other assessment activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct independent end-point assessments, including observation with questioning and professional discussions underpinned by portfolios across all levels.

· Prepare and apply bespoke question sets, using both AO-generated banks and professional judgement.

· Review portfolio.

· Complete and submit all assessment documentation accurately and in accordance with AO and regulatory guidelines.

Essential Criteria

· Occupational competence in early years at relevant levels (L2, L3, L5).

· Thorough knowledge of the apprenticeship standards and EPA methods.

· Proven experience and confidence in conducting structured professional discussions and workplace observations.

· Excellent organisational and planning skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage schedules across multiple locations.

· High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) for report writing, record-keeping, and documentation.

· Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with clarity and professionalism.

· Must be willing and able to travel regionally to conduct observations (own transport and business-use insurance).
