Job Description

EPA 4 Health is committed to provide a service to our customers that is consistent, timely and of a high quality. This role will form part of our EPA Operational Team working closely with our Head of EPA services on ensuring the quality of our assessment practice and associated materials. This role would suit someone with experience of Assessment and Internal Quality Assurance on apprenticeship standards. We expect you to be qualified and experienced in the science sector and we will provide comprehensive training to ensure you have all the knowledge, skills, and tools to undertake the role with professionalism and integrity. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quality sampling plans.
  • Carry out quality sampling of the EPA process and reporting ensuring they abide by the requirements to Ofqual, IfATE and ESFA.
  • Provide developmental and constructive feedback on assessment judgements to IEPAs.
  • Assist in the preparation of and participate in Internal Audit and Ofqual Audits and Inspections.
  • Plan and facilitate training and standardisation meetings, working closely with the Head of EPA services.
  • Provide accurate and informative reports to the Leadership Team.
  • Identify and share good practice with other staff.
  • Keep up to date with EPA Standard and Assessment Plan revisions.
  • Report all risks, issues and concerns encountered during the end-point assessment to EPA 4 Health, including any suspected malpractice/maladministration.
  • Maintain and provide evidence of ongoing, relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Raise any conflicts of interest timely and to the appropriate person.

Professional Qualifications, Accreditations, and Experience

  • Possess relevant, current, and demonstrable occupational competence, along with practical industry experience, at or above the level of the occupation, sector, or standard being assessed.
  • Experience in assessment, teaching, mentoring, or training.
  • Holds an assessor qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, A1, or D32/D33).
  • IQA qualification (desirable) or willing to work towards one.

Technical Skills

  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to multi-task and manage priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant technical tools.
