Level 3 CPC for Transport Managers (Road Haulage) and (Passenger Transport) Exam Markers

JOB PURPOSE

To mark candidate examination papers for the Level 3 Professional Competence for Transport Managers (Passenger Transport and Road Haulage) examinations in line with published examination schedules and marking schemes.

To report anomalies and potential maladministration/malpractice to the Chief Examiner.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To mark allocated candidate examination papers for the Professional Competence for Transport Managers qualifications to published timescales.

2. To monitor candidate responses to ensure any potential cases of maladministration and malpractice are reported to the Chief Examiner in a timely fashion.

3. To feedback to the Chief Examiner should errors in examination papers and/or mark schemes be identified.

4. To attend standardisation and Chief Examiner meetings as required.

5. To take part in examiner training as and when required.

6. To provide relevant information to assist with the development of robust marking schemes and guidance.

7. To maintain accurate and up to date records and provide data throughout and across examination series.

8. To manage own workload, under the direction of the Chief Examiner.

9. To ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with published Service Level Agreements.

The above-mentioned duties are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out such other appropriate duties as may be determined by the Director of Qualifications, Assessment and Regulation.

The post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to support the efficient and effective running of the Company.

2. To exercise proper care in operating, handling, and safeguarding any equipment and appliances provided and issued by Skills and Education Group for individual or collective use in the performance of duties.

3. To keep up to date, so far as is necessary for the efficient executive of the role, with new legislation, procedures, and methods.

4. To participate in the Company’s appraisal process and to undertake appropriate training/development to ensure up-to-date knowledge and practices are applied and maintained for the efficient and effective performance of the post and to support the Company’s strategic objectives.

6. To present an appropriate professional image on official Company business.
