Package £35,000 - £45,000 +Bonus +Paid mileage and expenses (Salary dependent on experience and trades you are able to cover)
Location Expected to be able to travel between current CEC Assessment Centres (Leeds, Manchester, Preston and Stoke)

About you and the role

We are looking for a number of highly professional Trade Area Lead End-point Assessors to join our team.
As a Trade Area Lead End-point Assessor you will be predominantly completing End-point Assessments
across your trade areas, providing a first class EPA service and leading by example.

To apply you must have experience within two or more of the following trades:

  • Roofing
  • Groundworks
  • Bricklaying

You must be someone who prides themselves on delivering excellence, leading by example with a positive /
can do attitude.

We are an adaptive and fast evolving organisation, so you will need to be agile in your approach to ensure
we continue to improve and meet key stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for your own caseload of apprentices for End-point Assessment:

  • Conduct End-point Assessments withing your main areas of competence and experience
  • Ensure timely completion of all required assessment follow up and documentation within the EPA system, in line with quality assurance requirements and service level agreements
  • Attend and contribute to standardisation events for End-point assessment
  • Manage your own caseload of apprentices through their End-point Assessment
  • Provide assessment feedback to Construction EPA Company quality requirements and within SLA
  • Complete required CPD in accordance with Construction EPA Company regulators requirements
  • Complete training as required to maintain own competence

Trade area lead:

  •  Main initial point of contact for your trade areas, supporting the other End-point Assessors
  • Complete induction training, on-going mentoring, training and support for End-point Assessors within your trade areas
  • Ensure adequate materials and resources are available for assessments taking place in Construction
    EPA Company assessment centres through direct liaison with End-point Assessors within your trade
    areas (taking into account sustainability principles for reducing, reusing and recycling materials
    where possible)
  • Ensure yourself and all other assessors for your trade areas are compliant with Health & Safety, all
    CEC staff conduct, rules, policies and procedures that apply when working in CEC assessment
    centres (internally) and / or when representing CEC at providers premises (externally)
  • Provide technical advice, guidance and support on your trade areas (where required) to other
    departments (such as; EPA management, Centre management, Relationship management,
    Assessment development)

Any other duties consummate with the post to meet the needs of the organisation. This list is not exhaustive.

Proven knowledge and experience (minimum of 5 years) of construction trades (minimum of 2 trades) X
Qualified Assessor X
Experience of conducting End-point Assessments X
Excellent organisational skills X
Able to travel as necessary to fulfil the duties of the post X
Regulation, legislation that governs End-point Assessment activity X
Experience in managing of conflicting deadlines and multiple tasks X
Experience of supporting apprentices X
Experience of materials ordering/ stock control X
